Suspected Burglar Charged, Victim Credited with Arrest

HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn.- A suspected burglar has been arrested and charged and Henderson County deputies said it is in great part to the victim. Brandon Wood faces counts of burglary and theft. He is currently free on $6,000 bond. Investigators said the victim spotted Wood loading up the back of his truck with metals and expensive car and tractor parts. The property owner said he followed him across town calling deputies on the way. “He has not only solved his own crime, but he’s probably helped us solve some more an definitely he’s prevented more,” said Sheriff Brian Duke of the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies said this is not the first time this particular victim has helped catch a burglar on his property. In January, he chased down two suspects. The homeowner told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News he has just been lucky to be in the right place at the right time.
