Weary Grizzlies look to recharge for 1 more push
The Memphis Grizzlies have been scratching and clawing their way back into the Western Conference playoff picture for more than three months. That long, tough fight might be taking its toll.
The weary Grizzlies wrapped up an underwhelming 2-3 road trip Wednesday night with a lopsided loss in Minnesota. A team that started the season 10-15 is now trying to muster the energy for one last push to get back into the playoffs.
Grizzlies share 44-31 records with Dallas and Phoenix, three teams fighting for the last two spots in the West. Memphis is in the eighth and final spot thanks to a tie-breaker it holds with Phoenix.
The Grizzlies host Denver on Friday before leaving again to face San Antonio on Sunday.
