Jackson Police Investigate Near Drowning

EAST JACKSON, Tenn. – The Jackson Police Department is investigating the near drowning of a seven-year-old boy. Police and EMS responded to the 400 building at Chapel Ridge Apartments at around 8!5 Monday. According to a release from police, the older brother of the child found him unresponsive in the bathtub. When police arrived the child’s mother was performing CPR on him. The boy was transported to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital before being airlifted to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis. He is currently listed in extremely critical condition.
