Alleged “Lover’s Quarrel” Shooting Suspect Officially Charged

HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. — The man accused of critically injuring one person during a reported lover’s quarrel was formally charged on Thursday. Jason Owen was formally charged with Criminal Attempt to commit First Degree Murder, Criminal Attempt of Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Burglary. Investigators said that on Tuesday, Owen went into the house with a gun and demanded that Guy Biggs’ wife leave with him. That’s when deputies said Owen and Biggs got into an argument that ended with Biggs shot in the chest. Biggs was taken by medical helicopter to Vanderbilt Medical Center. Deputies said Owens turned himself in early Wednesday morning, but because there are still so many unanswered questions, they said the investigation is only beginning. According to deputies, Biggs is still in critical but stable condition.
