HUMBOLDT, Tenn.-Friends and family of the man who died last week after a confrontation with police gathered in his honor, Thursday night. They released balloons in memory of Eddie Raye Epperson. They held the vigil along Gibson Wells Road, where police said Epperson collapsed when officers tried to stop him and died a day later. Family and friends said they miss him very much. “Each and every one of us still love him and it will never change and we will meet him one day,” said Janice Epperson, Eddie Epperson’s sister. The TBI is leading the investigation and have only said they are looking into what happened between two officers and Epperson.
