Cedar Grove Fire Department Battles Two Large Blazes

CEDAR GROVE, Tenn. — The Cedar Grove Fire Department battled two big fires on Thursday. According to Cedar Grove Fire Chief Mike Browning, a forest fire burned 100 acres on Walter Tower road in Carroll County. Fire crews battled that blaze from 7 p.m. until around midnight. Browning said there was also a house fire on Little Grove Road at about 2:00 p.m. Luckily, no one was home at the time, but the house is a total loss. The investigation has been turned over to the Carroll County fire chief.
