JACKSON, Tenn.- For a second time in just more than a year Jackson attorney Angela Hopson has her law license suspended. The state Board of Professional Responsibility handed down the year-long suspension this week. However, Hopson will still be able to practice law because she has been placed on probation. According to the board, Hopson admitted to violating rules involving diligence, communication, fees, terminating representation and misconduct, all involving an adoption case. WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News talked with Hopson Thursday. “I’m just grateful to still be able to work. This occurred in 2011, when I was dealing with a death penalty case and another murder trial,” Hopson said. Along with her probation, Hopson must pay more than $2,700 in restitution and all court costs.
