Police Cracking Down on Drunk Driving

JACKSON, Tenn. — Sobriety checkpoints are in full force for the month of April with the Jackson Police Department. The Alcohol Countermeasures Team was out in full force Saturday and Sunday in different areas of town from 11:30 p.m to 3:30 a.m. Police say their goal is to cut down on drunk driving as well as enforce child safety and seat belt laws. They will be out at different intersections and heavily trafficked areas for the rest of the month.
