Parole Warrant Nets Discovery of Crystal Meth

JACKSON, Tenn. — What started out as a search for a man with a parole violation ended in the arrest of two men and the discovery of 11 grams of crystal meth and drug paraphernalia, police say. Jackson-Madison Metro Narcotics Investigators were informed James Avery, a fugitive wanted for parole violation, was believed to be at 318 Bellevue on April 10. During the parole search, drug paraphernalia, ammunition and ephedrine were found in the home. Also found was a stolen 4-wheeler in the bed of Avery’s truck that was stolen from Hardeman County. Investigators also saw a holster and ammunition in the office area where he was arrested. All occupants were prohibited from owning are being around firearms and ammunition because they are convicted felons. During a subsequent search, Metro Narcotics Investigators located approximately 22.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine, a shotgun, digital scales and baggies. Investigators also discovered James Wilson, who was on State parole for a failure to comply warrant. Investigators arrested Wilson and located approximately 11.1 grams of crystal methamphetamine on the couch beside him. Wilson, 35, is being charged with Possession of Schedule II with intent to resale and Possession of Marijuana with intent to resale.
