Humboldt Star Signs with East Tennessee State University

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. – Excitement and smiles filled Humboldt High School’s library on Wednesday. Senior DeSonta Bradford officially signed his letter of intent to play college basketball at East Tennessee State University. “When I took my visit there, it just felt like somewhere I wanted to be. Everything was beautiful,” Bradford said. As a Viking, Bradford led Humboldt to the 2013 Class A State Championship and was named the 2014 Class A Mr. Basketball winner. “I’ve known DeSonta since he was a small kid. I don’t want to call him one but he’s developed into a man,” laughed retired basketball coach Thomas Boykin.
