Couple Accused of Plotting Murder Waives Preliminary Hearing

BUCHANAN, Tenn. — The Buchanan couple accused of plotting to kill her ex-boyfriend was not in court as expected on Tuesday. According to investigators, Guy and Joyce Biggs agreed to have their preliminary hearing postponed until June. Both are charged with attempted first degree murder and filing a false report. Investigators believe the couple lured Jason Owen to their home in Buchanan earlier this month with the intention of killing him, but Guy Biggs was the one who was shot. Both had their bonds reduced today to $50,000.
