Police ID Serial Shoplifter, Warrant Issued for her Arrest

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — After an outpouring of response from the public, Jackson police say they believe they know the identification of the serial shoplifter we first told you about on Tuesday. According to investigator Kevin Mooney, a warrant has been issued for Michelle Singleton. Her last known address in north Jackson. She was identified by dozens of WBBJ viewers through Crimestoppers tips. Singleton is wanted on theft of property under $500, conduct involving merchandise. Police say Singleton shoplifted from the store on March 28 and April 9. According to her prior record, Singleton was found guilty in 2005 and 2012 for shoplifting in Jackson.
