Accused Jackson Meadow Thief Waives Right to Preliminary Hearing

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — The man accused of stealing more than $30,000 worth of items from Jackson Meadow Retirement Residence will have his case sent to the grand jury. Stephen Bragg, 30, waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Thursday and is facing burglary and theft counts. Police say the painter stole from residents at Jackson Meadow following a fire in march. Bragg is accused of stealing from up to eight different apartments. According to Bragg’s arrest warrants, residents reported missing jewelry, cash and crystal.
