City Vehicles Involved in Accident

EAST JACKSON — Two city vehicles were involved in a wreck, Wednesday morning. It happened on N. Royal right before 10 a.m. A Jackson Transit Authority minibus and a city of Jackson utility truck were involved. According to Lt. Demoss, the JTA minibus was stopped and unloading a passenger when a vehicle behind it didn’t see the bus had stopped swerved to get out of its path. The city utility vehicle was behind that passenger car, and ran into the back of the bus after it failed to see the other car swerved out of the way. The passenger getting off the bus was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. It is not clear if anyone will be cited in the crash.
