DOWNTOWN JACKSON – A site in Jackson has been designated as an Enterprise site and is the first to be designated as such in the Tennessee Valley Authority seven state region. The 120.6-acre data center site is located in Tiger Jones Technology Park in a private campus setting a half mile from Interstate 40. “These data centers are huge community players with regard to investment,” Mandy White with the Jackson Chamber said. “We’re talking in the hundreds of millions of dollars potential and really some great jobs in it that are not located here now.” The Tiger Jones Technology Park earned the designation through the TVA‘s data center site designation program. “Having an Enterprise data center site in Jackson, Tennessee is a tremendous advantage for our community,” said City of Jackson Mayor Jerry Gist. “The TVA/Deloitte data center designation allows us to recruit for and market this site in a new, growing area.” For more information about the Tiger Jones Technology Park, visit www.jacksontn.com/economic.
