Trezevant Students Graduate from D.A.R.E. Program

TREZEVANT, Tenn. — Elementary school students across West Tennessee are taking a stand against drugs. Dozens of Trezevant Elementary students graduated from their 10-week dare program on Monday. D.A.R.E stands for drug abuse resistance education. The program, founded in 1984, says its mission is “Teaching students good decision-making skills to help them lead safe and healthy lives”. It’s a program that teaches kids how to resist the temptations of drugs and alcohol. Becky Keith from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department worked with these Trezevant students. D.A.R.E is taught in more than 85 percent of school districts in the state, reaching more than 60,000 students.
