West TN Lawyer Tapped to Become Workers Comp Judge

JACKSON, Tenn.- A West Tennessee lawyer has been named to the workers compensation court of the state department of labor. Allen Phillips of Jackson is one of eight new judges appointed to the court. Workers comp reform has been put in place to speed up the settlement of injury claims. The hope is to make the results fair to employees and employers. The reform will go into effect July 1.
