JACKSON, Tenn.- A fire in east Jackson Friday night displaced a family of four. Battalion Chief Johnny Brantley of the Jackson Fire Department told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News a cooking fire started around 6:30 p.m. at a duplex on Carolane Drive. He said they were able to quickly put out the fire and the house is not a total loss. A neighbor said she and the homeowner tried to salvage items from the house and described what she saw. “We ran up the road, saw smoke and when I got the duplex the whole kitchen was in flames, the whole kitchen, the whole stove, the wall, everything,” said Rachael Nicholson, a witness to the fire. No one was injured in the fire.
