Police: Thieves break into concession stand, only steal candy

UNION CITY, Tenn. — Police are scratching their heads after thieves cause hundreds of dollars in damage at a city park, but only steal candy. On Tuesday, police responded to Graham Park in Union City after an employee found broken glass, and saw the door to the Babe Ruth concession stand was ajar. According to police, thieves pried open the locked window cover and broke the sliding window to access to the concession stand. A park worker said the only items missing were various pieces of candy. Approximately $400 worth of damage was left behind. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Union City Police at 731-885-1515.
