State Park Camps to Charge Fees
PINSON, Tenn. — Local state parks are adding a small price to a historically free program, but rangers say it is well worth it.
State grants keeping summer camps at Pinson Mounds State Archaelogical Park have run out, so for the first time the park is now charging $25.
The fee will get participants t-shirts, snacks and prizes.
This week, the park is holding archaeology camp, and next week starts Junior Rangers camp.
