TBI: Two Additional Arrests in Holly Bobo Case

BREAKING NEWS: HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn.- The TBI confirms its made two more arrests in the investigation into the kidnapping and murder of Holly Bobo. Jeffrey Pearcy is jailed in Henderson County. According to the Henderson County Jail, he was taken into custody May 31. Mark Pearcy, a convicted sex offender is behind bars in Carroll County. Both are charged by the TBI with accessory after the fact and tampering with evidence. Court papers from Henderson County filed by the TBI said Jeffrey Pearcy, 42, showed a visual recording to an individual involving a current on-going investigation. Pearcy’s attorney confirms he was arrested and interviewed by the TBI as part of the Holly Bobo case. His attorney, Olin Baker said “Jeff Pearcy was asked if he was forwarded or emailed a video that contained Holly Bobo in it.” Baker goes on to say, “his client’s position is that he’s never seen a video with Holly in it, nor is there a video as far as he knows.” TBI agents believe Jeff Pearcy has this recording or knows where it is and has charged him with accessory after the fact and tampering with evidence. Mark Pearcy, 38, is jailed in Carroll County on the same two charges from the TBI. The state sex offender registry shows in October 2000 Mark Pearcy was convicted of statutory rape. The records show he lives in Decaturville, not far from the Bobo family home near Parsons and suspect Zach Adam’s home in Holladay. In no official documents does it say the alleged recording shows either Jason Autry or Zach Adams both have been indicted on counts of kidnapping and murdering Bobo. According to the Carroll County jail, Mark Pearcy appeared in court Monday and currently has a $65,000 bond. Jeffrey Pearcy is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday morning. The TBI is staying tight-lipped about the Pearcys arrests. Spokesperson Josh DeVine released this statement Tuesday evening: “As part of the ongoing Holly Bobo case, we recently developed information which led us to charge Mark Pearcy and Jeffrey Pearcy with Tampering with Evidence and Accessory After the Fact. However, out of respect for the judicial process, we cannot speak to the particular possible pieces of evidence in this case. We continue our work to follow the leads wherever they might lead. We won‘t stop until we find a sense of justice and closure for the family and friends of Holly Bobo”.
