Highway 70 yard sale wraps up three-day event

JACKSON, Tenn.- A bargain hunter’s dream is wrapping up its third and final day with the annual Highway 70 Yard Sale. Thousands from all across the area, the state and the country came out Saturday to buy and to sell their wares. This unique yard sale stretches for more than 200 miles, all the way from Nashville to Memphis. Some of the vendors said they were satisfied with this year’s sale while others say the customers were slim. “Normally, the crowd on most shows, a little more people out, probably due to the weather,” Martha Virginia said, a first time vendor. “I have done Highway 70 before in Bruceton, Tennessee but I decided to come down to Jackson, I’m very satisfied,” vendor Luke Suchovsky said. This year marks the 12th year for the event.
