Miss Tennessee rehearsal begins

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — Contestants are gearing up for this week’s Miss Tennessee Scholarship Pageant. On Monday, the women started the first full day of rehearsals. They are preparing for judge’s interviews and preparation for the opening night competition, which begins Wednesday night. Organizers say social media is helping them cut time learning the choreography. “They know it before they are even get here because the choreographer, Angie Lawrence tapes it, records it and then sends it to them via Youtube and they learn it before they here here and that cuts rehearsal time,” Jane Alderson, Executive Director, Miss Tennessee Pageant, said. A new Miss Tennessee will be crowned Saturday night.
