Police search for suspects in West Jackson drug bust

WEST JACKSON — Police are actively searching for a man they believe is connected to the discovery of nearly $7,000 worth of high grade marijuana . During an investigation into a domestic disturbance on Prospect Avenue last Friday, officers say they smelled marijuana coming from an apartment. Police say they then witnessed a black male flee the apartment. After obtaining a search warrant, investigators searching the apartment located about 1.5 pounds of of high grade marijuana valued at $6,820, a loaded firearm, digital scales and ammunition. Police say the possible suspect, whose identity is being withheld, is a convicted felon and is currently on parole.
