Police search for car in connection to Monday night shooting

EAST JACKSON — Police are searching for a vehicle they say could be connected to a shooting that littered the area with shell casings on Monday night. According to Capt. Tyreece Miller with Jackson Police, investigators say they still do not have a suspect, but are now searching for a dark colored 4-door car in connection with the shooting. The shooting happened on the 90-block of Booker Street just after 9 p.m. Monday. Officers arrived to find a car had been shot into and several shell casings on the ground. Police said no one was at home at the time and no one was injured. Less than 30 minutes after the shooting, a person with gunshot wounds showed up at a Jackson hospital, however police will not say if the two are connected.
