Trenton Fire Chief passes away

TRENTON, Tenn. — One of Trenton’s bravest passed away on Wednesday. Trenton Fire Chief Barry Green passed away around 9 p.m. at Humboldt General Hospital from a heart attack, according to Trenton Mayor Tony Burriss. Chief Green served for 34 years at the Trenton Fire Department, and 21 of those years were as chief. According to the TFD, the captain on each shift will serve as temporary chief. Mayor Burriss has assured the department that they will move quickly in appointing a new chief. Green leaves behind his wife and his daughter, Cory.
