Miss Tennessee Preliminary Competition: Night 3

JACKSON, Tenn.- Friday night was the last night of preliminaries for the Miss Tennessee Pageant but things started off a little differently. 37 girls, known as the Iris Princesses, ranging in ages from 6 to 11 kicked off the show. There was one little girl to each pageant contestant including one for Miss Tennessee. Miss Teen Tennessee was also a special guest and led them in song to Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the USA”. All of the benefits go toward the Miss Tennessee Pageant Scholarship Fund. Officials said they are overjoyed for all of the girls that participated. “It’s just been such a wonderful learning opportunity. We are all so proud of how well they have embraced this program and how well Tennessee has embraced our Iris Princesses,” said Colene Trent assistant director of the Iris Princess. The winner of Friday night’s preliminaries in the swimsuit competition was Miss Nashville Kaileigh Bullard. The winner of the talent competition was Miss UT-Martin Erica Glisson. And the winner of the People’s Choice Award was Miss Memphis Christine Williamson. The competition concludes Saturday night with the crowning of a new Miss Tennessee.
