Court dates for two accused in death of Rico Swift

JACKSON, Tenn.- Frederick Booth, one of the men charged with first degree murder did not make it to his preliminary hearing Thursday. His attorney was there and told the judge his client remains hospitalized in Nashville following a fight last Friday inside the Madison County jail. Booth’s attorney said she would let the court know when her client gets out of the hospital. He is charged with first degree murder in the June 8 beating death of Rico Swift. Booth’s alleged accomplice, Christopher Minor did appear in court Thursday. He waived his right to a preliminary hearing allowing his case to now be heard by the Madison County Grand Jury. Along with first degree murder, he faces counts of especially aggravated robbery and aggravated assault.
