EAST JACKSON — An Ohio man is taking a journey for more than 2,000 miles from one side of the country to the other, and his journey led him to Madison County. Justin Kuhel, a former U.S. Marine Corporal, is walking for 10 hours and 23 miles each day. “I started in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and I’m walking to Camp Pendenton which is just south of San Diego,” Kuhel said. Kuhel says he’s walking to raise money for the Headstrong Project and Help Our Military Heroes. He expects to finish walking in October. He says friends and family are driving behind him and every 5 miles they stop for food. At the end of the night they lodge at a hotel or a house.
