Jackson Fire’s first female investigator retires

SOUTH JACKSON — Jackson Fire Department’s first female fire investigator enjoyed her last day at work on Monday. Captain Terresia Reasons began her work with the fire department 29 years ago. Reasons says when she first got the position, her time at the department started a little rough. “Basically it was different, a lot of the females had their husbands quit the fire department because they didn’t want them, anybody working with a female,” Reasons said. There will be a retirement party in October for all of the retiring employees for the year.
