Storm knocks out power to more than 2,000 JEA customers

JACKSON, Tenn.- More than 2,000 JEA customers were reported without power late Tuesday night when storms pushed through Jackson. Power went out throughout the area, including the WBBJ studios in East Jackson. According to a JEA spokesman, at its peak, more than 2,200 customers were in the dark. JEA said the Forgy and Ridgeland substations were knocked off-line by the storms. Crews were working to get power restored to all customers as quickly as possible.
