Verdict to be reached in trial of man accused of attempted murder, kidnapping

HENDERSON, Tenn. — The trial is underway for a Henderson man accused of kidnapping, attacking and raping a woman. Seth McCarty was arrested in July 2013 after investigators say he kidnapped a woman, bound her with duct tape and sexually assaulted her for several hours before she was able to escape from his van. U.S. Marshals and Jackson Police tracked McCarty to a Days Inn in Jackson using his phone records days after the attack. The trial, which is being held at Chester County Justice Center, is expected to reach a verdict on Wednesday. Stay with WBBJ for the latest updates.
