Seaport Airlines could soon leave Madison County
WEST MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — Seaport Airlines may be soon leaving McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport. According to Cindy Melton, deputy director at McKellar-Sipes, the U.S. Department of Transportation released a final order to terminate service in Jackson on Sept. 30. However, the McKellar-Sipes Airport Authority has applied for a waiver with the DOT, which if granted will allow Seaport to continue service in Jackson to try to increase the numbers. The waiver was filed Wednesday.
