WEST JACKSON — If you’ve spent much time outside lately, you likely haven’t been alone thanks to swarms of Japanese beetles. Due to the unusual weather conditions in West Tennessee this summer, Japanese beetles have become more prominent. Experts say plants like roses, pine oak and fruit trees are the most vulnerable to the beetles. Experts also say their damage is pretty easy to identify and usually, the bugs can be caught in the act since they love to eat rosebuds from the inside out.
