Another man charged in a June burglary

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man charged in connection to an armed robbery was formally charged on Thursday. James Daniels, III, 18 was arraigned Thursday morning in Jackson City Court on a charge of aggravated robbery related to a June 28 robbery. Around 5 a.m. on June 28, officers were called about a robbery. The victim told police he was in his truck on Bayberry Drive when he was robbed by five men. The victim identified one of the men as an acquaintance, Quadarius Martin. The victim reported he was stopped by Martin, and they began to talk. Martin and the other suspects then pulled him from his truck. Martin struck the victim in the head with the butt end of a rifle. The victim was then robbed. Investigators are pursuing leads to identify the three other men involved. They were described as one white man and two black men. A second man involved, Quadarius Martin, 19, of Jackson, was charged with aggravated robbery and was arrested July 3. He remains in custody at the Madison County Jail on $75,000 bond. Daniels is being held on a $40,000 bond at the Madison County Jail. Martin’s and Daniels’ next court appearance is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on July 24 in City Court.
