Jackson teen wins junior golf championship

NORTH JACKSON — A Madison Academic High School junior wins a golf tournament in Memphis. Cameron Chhim, who also turned 16 Wednesday, competed in the Tennessee Golf Association’s Junior Tour Division Championship. Chhim competed with 21 other 13 to 15-year-olds from West Tennessee, at Galloway Golf Course in Memphis, Tuesday. The 16-year-old says he walked away from the two-day tourney with a 151, and a five stroke lead. “I was lucky enough to score well enough today, that I didn’t have to make up for any strokes,” Chhim said. Second-place winner was Spencer Jenkins of Eads and third place was Grayson Kirk of Jackson.
