JACKSON, Tenn.- Jackson police have released new details on the wreck that slowed rush hour traffic on the Highway 45 Bypass, Thursday afternoon. Officers told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News the driver of this silver car was ejected when a truck headed north on the bypass slammed into it around 5 p.m. Police said the pickup truck ran the red light and hit the car as it tried to turn onto Ashport Road. The driver of the truck was not seriously hurt, but at last check, officers did not have a condition on the other driver. Police said charges are pending.
