MADISON CO.,Tenn. — A 17-year-old is shot at a party last Friday in West Madison County, and deputies are still looking for three to four suspects. Deputies say between 50 and 200 partiers from ages 13 to 25 attended the affair at a community center in Denmark typically used for weddings and birthday, but a spray of bullets brought the night to a terrifying end. Savannah Williamson, whose mother owns the property the community center sits on, says this kind of crime in the area is rare. “We don’t really have any problems around this area, but nowadays you can look for a problem anywhere,” Williamson said. The party was promoted through social media, according to deputies. Most of the teenagers and young adults traveled in from city limits and Bolivar, according to Sgt. T.J. King with the sheriff’s office. Deputies were called out to investigate a fight at a party and say they discovered the gun shot victim when they stopped a truck with possible bullet holes leaving the party. investigators say they still don’t have suspects, but confirm they’re looking for three to four black men. No charges have been filed at this time.
