Witness: Holly Bobo was crying and tied up in video

HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Another man accused of involvement in the alleged murder and disappearance of nursing student Holly Bobo appeared in court on Tuesday. The case of Jeffery Peracy, 42, has been bound over to the grand jury after his preliminary hearing at the Henderson County Criminal Justice Center. Two witnesses testified during the hearing, including a former friend of Pearcy who revealed new details about the possible video taken of Bobo after she disappeared. “I saw a woman who was tied up and that was crying,” Sandy King said. “She was blonde and it looked like Holly Bobo.” King took the stand Tuesday afternoon, giving details of the video she said Jeff Pearcy showed her on a cell phone in May while he was living with her. King said she recognized Zach Adams as the one sexually assaulting Bobo. “It was a shock to see it,” King said. “I knew what he was fixing to do and I did not want to see it.” The Bobo family was also in the courtroom. Family friend Tammy White said although they believe King’s testimony, it was hard to hear. “We hate to think Holly went through anything like that,” White said. “Realistically, we know that there’s probably going to be a lot more to come out.” Pearcy, who is currently free on bond, spoke after the hearing, maintaining his innocence. “Everything that was stated in there, from most of the parties, is untrue,” Pearcy said. His attorney, Olin Baker, said Pearcy was married to a Holly and believes King could be confused. “We think there’s a video. But it’s nothing involving Mr. Jeffery Pearcy,” Baker said. “There is a video we think Mark Pearcy may of had at one time, but it’s not related to the Holly Bobo case.” Mark Pearcy is Jeff’s half brother, who is also charged in the case. Overall, the Bobo family said they are just looking for closure. “We want people to remember Holly the was she was,” Tammy White said. “We want anyone that had anything to do with it to be punished.” Also during the hearing, a judge ruled Pearcy have his handgun returned because the weapon is not related to the Bobo case and because Pearcy has no prior felony convictions. The gun was taken when he was arrested in May. If indicted on counts of tampering with evidence and accessory after the fact, Pearcy’s attorney said he will likely return to court in late October.
