Morning shooting at Parkway East Apartments injures one

NORTH JACKSON — Jackson police are investigating the second shooting this week at the Parkway East Apartments on 33 Carver Street. At around 9:45 a.m. Thursday, officers were called about a shooting in Parkway East Apartments at 33 Carver Avenue. A 30-year-old Jackson man was transported by ambulance to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital for a gunshot wound. The man was admitted into the hospital and remains in stable condition. Investigators talked to the man in an attempt to gather more information about the shooting, but he did not provide any useful information. Police do not have a suspect description to release at this time. Investigators are attempting to determine what, if any, connection exists between Thursday’s shooting and any of the other recent shootings.
