Man faces aggravated domestic assault charge after Sunday incident

NORTH JACKSON — A man is accused of aggravated domestic assault after officers say he tried to strangle his wife. Officers were called Sunday in response to a disturbance at 1890 Highway 45 Bypass. Upon arrival, Rodney Williams’ wife said she and her husband had an argument that became physical. She said Williams then pushed her and grabbed her by the neck to strangle her, according to court papers.
