Services held for men in Pickwick boating accident

CORINTH, MISS. — The funerals were held Monday for two men killed in a weekend boating accident on Pickwick Lake. Carey Jonathan Downs, 39, and Jeremie David Floyd, 40, were killed Saturday in an accident involving a barge on the Mississippi side of Pickwick Lake. Services for Downs were held Monday morning at the Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Corinth, Miss. Services for Floyd were held Monday at the Foote Street Church of Christ in Corinth. Hardin County emergency officials said Downs and Floyd were driving a bass boat through the lake when they hit a barge, throwing them from their boat.
