DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A Jackson business’s beer application did not make it to the voting phase of approval when the City of Jackson Beer Board met Tuesday at city hall to consider applications for beer permits. Pandora’s Box Restaurant and Lounge, located at 63 Heritage Square, presented a new application, which was not granted, according to chairman Charles Rahm. The motion did not make it to a vote, Rahm said. He added that the city attorney will meet with the owner to discuss whether they will be able to re-apply. WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News reached out to Pandora’s Box Restaurant and Lounge owner Reginald Hobson for comment but did not hear back from him. The establishment will still be able to open because they have obtained the correct permits from the city, but they will not have a beer permit as they open their restaurant.
