Man charged with threatening women outside Jackson business

EAST JACKSON — A man faces three charges of aggravated assault after police say he showed a handgun and threatened to kill three women outside a Jackson business. The incident took place at a nightclub at 1605 North Parkway after an argument between two women continued after the women went into the parking lot, according to court papers. One of the women said that while she was attempting to leave, she was approached by Tony Sento Maxwell and the woman she had been arguing with, according to court papers. Maxwell then lifted his shirt to show a handgun and threatened to kill her and two other women, according to the report. One of the women had previously been in a relationship with Maxwell and has children with him, according to court papers. Maxwell was taken into custody and charged with aggravated domestic assault and two counts of aggravated assault, according to police. Maxwell is being held on $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court again at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 15 for his preliminary hearing.
