McKenzie Middle School gets new roof

McKENZIE, Tenn.– Heavy rain has always been a problem for one West Tennessee school. McKenzie middle school has been dealing with leaks in their 15-year-old roof for years. Now, teachers and students will be able to breath a sign of relief as a brand new roof is on the way. The McKenzie Special School District has approved a $1,000,000 project that will completely replace the roof over the next four months. Teachers at the school say it’s a long time coming “We’ve been waiting for this for a long time,” Helen Winchester, who’s worked at the school for three years said. “The last couple years we’ve just been waiting and waiting and waiting. So we’re very great that they’ve given us the money to make these repairs.” School officials say to limit school distribution construction will mostly be done at night. The new roof will have a 25 year warranty.
