Man arrested in Henry Co. also wanted on federal charges

HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. — A man arrested in Henry County on drug and aggravated assault charges found himself in more trouble Friday when he appeared in court. During his court appearance, Markia Patton was discovered to also have been indicted on federal charges, according to Henry County Sheriff Monte Belew. Patton is due in federal court next week on charges of unlawful transport of firearms, violent crime involving drugs and a machine gun, and a marijuana charge, according to court documents. U.S. Marshals picked up Patton and transported him to Obion County Jail where he is being held with no bond pending his appearance in federal court next week, according to Belew.
