West TN State Fair wraps up this weekend

SOUTH JACKSON, Tenn. — The 2014 West Tennessee state fair is wrapping up Sunday evening after six days of festivities. The fair’s manager, Mike Peery said this year was very successful overall, but he estimates attendance was down about ten percent because of the rainy days. Peery says this year the fair drew in more families because of the family friendly activities they added. People from around West Tennessee and out of state joined in on the fun. Peery told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News the nice weather on Sunday was a fabulous way to end this year’s fair. “It’s been a cherry on top of a Sunday. It’s been a good fair, it’s been a family friendly fair and it was a great day,” Peery said. They will begin planning next year’s fair on Monday.
