Woman charged with aggravated assault after argument with ex-boyfriend

WEST JACKSON — Officers responded to a domestic disturbance call Monday at Cypress Grove Nature Park and later arrested a woman for alleged aggravated assault. Becky Burk agreed to meet her ex-boyfriend at the park and talk, according to court documents. After Burk arrived, it is believed the two got into an argument, with Burk going through the ex-boyfriend’s phone. According to the ex-boyfriend, Burk then attempted to run him over with her car. Burk then allegedly left the park and later was arrested by Jackson police. Burk is in jail on $3,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 13. for her preliminary hearing.
