Officials announce Jackson’s first International Food and Art Festival

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — The city of Jackson on Wednesday announced its first International Food and Art Festival. The inaugural festival is a result of the work of the Citizens’ Commission on Unity formed by Mayor Jerry Gist. The group’s goal is to help Jackson grow in understanding the strength of diversity. The Jackson International Food and Art Festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 4 in downtown Jackson.
