DOWNTOWN JACKSON — In honor of National Child Passenger Safety Week, the Jackson Police Department on Friday is offering a free car seat safety check. Jackson police on Thursday demonstrated how to properly install a car seat. A traffic safety coordinator with the Jackson Police Department says the most common problem with car seat installation is there is too much slack in the seat belt.
